Jes Malitoris (xie/xer/xers) is a trans-enby horror and dark fantasy author from Durham, NC, with a love of the uncanny and a PhD in History that taught xer truth really is stranger than fiction. Xie is an affiliate member of the HWA, active in the Carolinas chapter, and a first reader for the horror magazine NECKSNAP. Xie publishes The Scrawler Tapes, a writing craft blog targeted at early career writers. You can find xer work in assorted lit mags and anthologies, including Cosmic Horror Monthly and The Skull & Laurel, and forthcoming in Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year, Volume 18.
